March 11, 2008 GOODWILL, Okla. - The West Texas A&M baseball team's bats exploded at the plate as the Buffs scored nine runs in the second inning en route to a 14-2 seven-inning win over Oklahoma Panhandle State. Seniors Justin Graham and Brian Schupp each went 2-for-4, scored two runs and knocked in one run, while fellow classmate Ben Edge hit 2-for-4 with one run and three RBI. Additionally, sophomore Eric Lensing hit 1-for-3 with two runs and three RBI as WT improved to 6-15 on the season. After freshman Darby Walker grounded out, Schupp hit an RBI single then junior Will McLaughlin hit a single to advance Schupp to second base. Edge came up next and knocked in both runners with a double, then advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on Lensing's one-run single. The Buffs tacked on two more runs as Shanks was hit by a pitch then both he and Lensing scored on walks by Graham, Wright and Metts. WT brought home another runner in the third then allowed OPSU to score once in the fourth inning and once in the fifth; however, the Buffs continued to hit well as they scored another four runs in the sixth. Oklahoma Panhandle State was unable to get anything going on offense as WT ended the game in seven innings as they had more than a 10-run lead.
