After leading West Texas A&M to its third straight Lone Star Conference Football Championship and a run in the NCAA Division II playoffs, four former Buffalo football standouts are expected to continue their football careers in the National Football League. The 2007 Buffs will go down in WT history as the team with the most wins in a season, and the team with the highest national ranking; finishing eighth in the American Football Coaches Association Top 25. Five members of the West Texas A&M football team garnered All-American status this month as Don Hansen's Football Gazette announced its 2007 All-America team. Representing the Buffs on the first team was junior defensive end Brandon Swain, while junior linebacker Jared Brock was selected to the third team and a trio of WT players - redshirt freshman Keithon Flemming, senior tight end Kolo Kapanui and junior corner back Cashmin Thomas - earn honorable mention accolades.
