WT Women End Lady Buff Stampede in Second Place

AMARILLO, Texas - Western New Mexico's Tina Bickford fired a tournament-low round of 69 on Tuesday at Tascosa Country Club, to edge West Texas A&M's Mollie Peterson for individual medalist honors at the Lady Buff Stampede presented by the Ryan Palmer Foundation. As a team, the Lady Buffs finished in second place at the event with a two-day total of 657.

Western New Mexico finished in first place overall with a team total of 652.

A pair of Lady Buffs made the All-Tournament by finishing in the top five individually as Whitney Osborne (85-79=164) and Lacy Torbert (82-82=164) ended play in a tie for fourth place.

Junior Stephanie Boldger finished in a tie for 15th place after shooting a first round 88 followed by an 84 on Tuesday. Christal Kendrick shot an 85 during the second round to end play in a tie for 30th place.

Participating as an individual, WT's Kaylee Zaiontz (86-71=167) enjoyed a strong tournament, finishing in a tie for seventh place individually.
