Women's Soccer LSC Championship Field Set

RICHARDSON, Texas - The West Texas A&M women's soccer team earned the sixth seed in the Lone Star Conference Tournament while Central Oklahoma won its fourth straight LSC regular season championship and the right to host the annual LSC Championship this week. UCO, 16-3-1 overall and 10-0 in the league, will be the top seed for the six-team, single elimination conference championship. The Bronchos have won their last 35 LSC regular season games and also boast a 24-game league winning streak. Midwestern State also claimed a first-round by as the runner-up with an 8-2 LSC mark. The championship starts on Thursday, November 1, at 12 p.m. with No. 3 seed Angelo State playing No. 6 West Texas A&M. The 2:30 p.m. game matches No. 4 Texas Woman's against No. 5 Texas A&M-Commerce. The ASU/WTAMU victor advances to play MSU at 12 p.m. on Friday, while the TWU/A&M-C winner plays UCO at 2:30 p.m. The Friday winners get a day to rest before playing on Sunday at 1 p.m. for the LSC Championship and an automatic bid into the NCAA Division II tournament. All the championship games will be aired live via internet video streaming at www.LSClive.tv. The webcasts are available on a pay-per-view basis for only $5.50 per game or a tournament pass can be purchased for $12.99. Each webcast includes both video and audio, with viewers needing only a computer with a high-speed DSL or cable modem connection to the internet.
